BATTERY 4 INDUSTRY was founded on the shared ambition and expertise of four entrepreneurs – Karel Florizoone, Björn Afschrift, Edelhart Olivier and Mathias Vandaele – with one clear mission: to help companies manage energy in a smarter, more efficient and more profitable way. Driven by this shared vision, we have grown into a specialist in industrial battery energy storage systems (BESS), combined with intelligent energy management systems (EMS).
In 2025, we delivered more than 20 MWh of battery storage for industrial customers. This growth marked the start of a new phase. With the support of the investment fund Impact Expansion (KOIS), we are now part of a strong group together with the sector specialists BeliVert, Ingelec and Batimont Solar. Afschrift continues to actively contribute as a strategic partner to this success story.
While maintaining each entity’s specialization and identity, we jointly develop integrated energy solutions that optimize energy consumption, reduce costs and create new revenue streams. Thanks to our deep expertise in battery technology, intelligent control, energy markets, solar PV and high-voltage installations, we fully unburden our customers, from analysis and engineering to installation, monitoring and maintenance.
